I had the most incredible birthday weekend and I was so sad to see it go so quickly. On Friday night, Steve surprised me with a laser tag party with some of our closest friends on Friday night. I couldn’t believe he organized an entire night for me without me finding out. On Saturday morning, two of my best friends, Whitney and Stacey, came down to Nashville to visit for the remainder of the weekend. It was perfect. I picked them up from the airport and we went straight for breakfast. Afterwards, I brought them to my place, freshened up, and we headed out to crazy Broadway so we wouldn’t have to battle the crowds at night. We stopped in at some of the bars to watch some live music before heading out to dinner at Edley’s BBQ.
On Sunday morning, we made a stop at Loveless Cafe for some southern cooking. The weather was beyond perfect, so waiting outside for over an hour was worth it. After breakfast we went for a hike at Percy Warner Park, which was a great way to burn off some of those breakfast calories. After our hike, I took the girls to get some popsicles at Las Paletas and then out to my favorite antique shops, the 8th Avenue Antique Mall and Pre to Post Modern.
We grabbed some beverages at Eighth & Roast then went back home to get ready for dinner, meet Steve, and head to The Village Pub. After dinner we met our friends Carli and Julie for ice cream at Jeni’s. Talk about a perfect day, am I right?

I am still on cloud nine from the weekend. I’m so fortunate to have a husband who spoils the heck out of me on birthdays and special occasions, family who supports me through everything, and amazing friends who will travel hundreds of miles to spend time with me. It was the best weekend in a long time. I feel so loved.
