Happy National Donut Day! In honor of one of my favorite ‘national days’ (one of the only few I choose to celebrate), I’m sharing a glimpse of one of my favorite bakeries here in Nashville. Five Daughters Bakery, which started in Franklin (inside the Factory), now has a second location in the 12 South neighborhood.
If you’re a fan of donuts (but really, who isn’t?), I absolutely recommend checking out their 100 Layer Donuts that come in a wide array of delicious flavors that can change day-by-day.
We recently visited the newer location of Five Daughters Bakery, which lives in an old house at 1110 Caruthers Avenue. Since selecting only one flavor rendered impossible, we chose a half dozen in a variety of flavors.
It was a warm and beautiful day, so naturally we enjoyed a donut each while sitting on the patio and soaking up the sunshine. I probably could’ve indulged in another 1/2 donut, but I spared myself the pain and grief and called it a morning with one full Lemon Blueberry donut.
Check them out for yourself and see what the fuss is about. They’re simply amazing. Hope ya’ll go nuts for donuts today!
