Things are finally starting to calm down after a month of moving, cleaning out the old house, setting up a new home office so I can get back into my work routine. Our house is definitely feeling like home now. It’s so nice to wake up, make my coffee, and walk over to my office and have my routine back. I get all sorts of out of whack when my workday routine gets jacked. It feels good to feel normal again. This past Saturday I hosted a Lifestyle Blogging Basics workshop for the Nashville Blogging Collective. I love the girls I meet through that network so dang much. I always feel re-energized after meeting incredible like-minded Nashville bloggers. Special thanks to Tiffany of Tiff + Coco for inviting me to host the workshop! I had the best time.
I’m so excited that my parents are coming to visit this weekend. It’s been almost a year since the last time they were here and so many new restaurants and shops have opened since then, so we plan to take them to as many local hotspots as possible. I’m working extra hard at the gym this week so that I can binge on hot chicken and pizza, too. Does anyone have a favorite newer place in town? I’d love to hear!
I bought this satin bomber jacket last week at Forever 21 and have been wearing it everywhere. I love it. It’s a great way to add a bit of edginess, sportiness, or, as my husband refers to my style– ‘rock and roll grandma’. The floral and bird embroidery is everything. It was screaming my name when I saw it and I didn’t hesitate to purchase it that instant. It’s also perfect for this bipolar Nashville weather we’ve been having. Now that I own this one, I can’t help but keep looking at all of the other satin bomber jackets I want to buy. There might be a pink satin bomber in my future.
