Last night Steve and I had an overdue date night. It may have been a Tuesday, but we take what we can get. Since he has been back and forth from Michigan almost every weekend the past couple months, it’s been difficult to find time off together where we can do anything other than cleaning, cooking, laundry, or sleeping. We’ve been ultimately wiped out due to such a busy summer of shows, showers, weddings, and family events, so I am looking forward to things slowing down a bit once autumn settles in.
(And before you gasp about me not wearing my wedding rings… it’s because my skin has been struggling to adapt to new temperatures and humidity and I basically have an ugly ring finger until the swelling subsides.)
Romper- Topshop // Shoes- Kohl’s // Bag- Charee Cross Body f/ Hush Puppies
Hat- Old Navy // Bracelet- The Limited // Earrings- The Mill
For our date night, we headed out to Two Ten Jack in East Nashville for some crispy Brussels sprouts, sushi, skewers, and ramen. Everything was delicious and I already can’t wait to go back and try more things on their menu. I highly recommend visiting if you’re a local.
And, of course, no evening on the town would be complete without a stop at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. Since it’s in the the building, it’s hard to resist. I’ve never had a better ice cream than Jeni’s before. It’s the best of the best.
We have another really exciting date night/weekend to look forward to this month. From September 18-22, we’ll be in Charleston, SC to celebrate our first year of marriage. I can’t wait to explore Charleston, it’s been on my bucket list for a while now. If anyone has any recommendations for places we should visit, please let me know!
