What a lovely and productive weekend it was. I ran some errands after work on Friday, picked up some more holiday decorations, and cleaned the apartment. Later that evening I attended a blogger event at Fruition Salon
for styling tips and cocktails. I was invited by the lovely Catherine of A Short Blonde
who co-hosted the event. I was finally introduced to some other Nashville ladies: Greta of Greta Hollar
, Jess of Here&Now
, Moriah of Moriah Murrel
, and more! I also now officially know how to use my curling iron as a wand and can do my hair in more than one style [win!]. I also came home with a couple goodies for my hair. The night was a success, to say the least.
I woke up far too early on Saturday morning because my work schedule has me typically falling asleep by 9pm. Steve and I went to our favorite coffeeshop in Germantown, Steadfast Coffee, for lattes and muffins.
Steve headed off to work and I got some work done at home before catching my friend’s gig at The Basement. If you’re looking to check out some new music, I recommend giving Burns Proctor a listen. He’s a true talent.
After staying out long past my usual bedtime, I felt pretty sluggish Sunday morning. Nothing a pot of coffee and my oil diffuser couldn’t fix, though. I got more work done then took a break to eat too many carbs at Mafiaoza’s in 12 South. I ended the night jamming on the mandolin while my husband strummed on the guitar. It’s our special way of unwinding together when we’ve been thinking too much.
I hope your weekend was excellent.
