I figured it was time for me to share the official nursery with Stikwood since I’m officially past my due date and I finally got everything put together! I couldn’t be happier with how things came together in this room. I knew I wanted something neutral, serene, and nature-like, so with the help of Stikwood, I was able to make my nursery dreams a reality with this beautiful DIY wainscoting.
The real wood gives it the perfect combination of Scandinavian and Woodland. I used the color ‘Sand Stone‘ and had them pre-cut into 3 ft. lengths so that I could do a seamless vertical install from the baseboards. I then capped the raw tops of the Stikwood with a thin chair rail trim that I primed with just one coat of white primer to give it a more natural finish. I love the way it complements the crib and dresser.
I really love all of the various textures from the real wood to the woven baskets. I picked up the laundry basket from Home Goods, the bear basket from H&M, and the Moses basket from Amazon. I found the rattan mirror at Home Goods, which felt like the perfect little mirror to hang above baby’s changing station. Also seen in the photo above is the Hatch Baby Rest light and white noise machine, which was a total lifesaver when we had London. I highly recommend adding this to your baby registry if you are expecting and looking for the perfect white noise machine and night light.
I found this adorable wooden hanger with hooks from JoAnn and couldn’t resist it. I also just had to get this wooden toy camera, the rainbow teether, and these beaded pacifier clips. The custom banner is from this Etsy shop, which I ordered because it’s a title of a song that reminds us of our baby boy.
All of the linens I chose for the nursery go along with the nature/woodland theme, so I loved this fitted sheet with a greenery print from Amazon. I also ordered this one with suns and mountains because I love the colors so much.
I decided to go with a more simple rocking chair design because I didn’t want any bulky or heavy furniture in the nursery in case I want to move some things around easily. I chose this rocking chair from Wayfair that was a total steal for only $115. The beautiful handwoven blanket is the Dorado blanket from CB2, which is more of a splurge item, but I was lucky enough to receive it as a gift from a coworker. I’ve never been more in love with a blanket in my entire life. It isĀ perfection. I picked up the seagrass pouf from Target and it’s the perfect sized foot rest to go with this chair.
That’s all for the nursery tour. Hopefully we can introduce our son to his room in the next few days! Here’s hoping. xx
