It has been an absolute whirlwind since moving to Nashville just two weeks ago. Between getting settled into our apartment, showing my parents around the city while they were here, meeting up with friends in town, and getting more acquainted with my office + coworkers, I feel like I haven’t had much ‘Laura time’. That’s okay though, because this city has so much to offer and I feel like a sponge, ready to take it all in.
When we first got into town, we visited some of our favorite places so that my parents could experience them for the first time. Edley’s, Las Paletas, The Pfunky Griddle, Red Door Saloon, etc. We also managed to sneak in some time for laying out by the pool. That lasted an entire 25 minute before our Michigan skin couldn’t take it anymore. [Give me a break, I’m slowly adapting.]
Here’s my brief update on the past two weeks in photos:

Steve & I w/ the obligatory “I believe in Nashville” mural in 12 South. We snapped this right before grabbing some Edley’s with my mom and dad.

The Spendsetter crew spent
last Thursday together at the Nashville Sounds game for some bonding and
cheap beers. It was the perfect night.
Yesterday was spent at the Nashville Zoo. I loved walking around with the baby kangaroos and admiring the red fox panda.

After the zoo, we cooled off with some Las Paletas. I got the Pineapple Blueberry and Steve got the Coconut. They were perfect for Nashville’s 95 degree weather yesterday.
