Today I’m really excited to share my first experience cooking with Blue Apron. I have used other home delivery meal services before, so I had a pretty good idea what the experience would be like going into it, but I had no idea how much I was going to love Blue Apron. Everything was perfect– down to the packaging, produce quality, and recipe selections. All of the meal options looked amazing, so it was hard to choose which 3 to try! All I knew was that it would be so great to be save time and money by using Blue Apron. When the shipment arrived at my doorstep, I was so excited to open it and get to cooking.
I decided to kick off my Blue Apron experience with the Pan Seared Catfish with Udon Noodles, Mushrooms & Carrots. I knew my husband, Steve, would love this one. This recipe came with the following ingredients:
- 2 Catfish Fillets
- 1/2 Pound Fresh Udon Noodles
- 6 Ounces White Button Mushrooms
- 2 Scallions
- 2 Stalks Celery
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons Yakiniku Sauce
- 1 1-inch Piece of Ginger
- 1 Teaspoon Smoked Dulse
- 2 Carrots
Cooking with Blue Apron allowed me to enjoy the entire cooking experience. I didn’t have to worry about gathering all of the ingredients, searching through my recipe books, or double-checking that I didn’t miss anything along the way. I was able to put on some music and get to work. The instructions are incredibly easy to follow and come with several images to help guide you through the cooking process without error (which is great for visual people like myself). It made for a seamless cooking night at home.
Blue Apron helps you cook incredible meals from scratch with perfectly portioned ingredients and step-by-step recipes, meaning you spend less time shopping and prepping and more time with family and following your other passions! Blue Apron was a total blessing to us this week as we still finish up unpacking and getting settled into our new house. This saved time on going out to buy groceries and the hassle of finding dinner recipes for the week. Not to mention, it saved us money we would’ve probably wasted at the grocery store on ingredients we wouldn’t end up using.
Blue Apron is committed to creating meals that are not only convenient and easy-to-implement, but that also use fresh and locally-sourced ingredients that promote sustainable practices and reduce food waste. Did I mention they’re also delicious and healthy?! You can’t go wrong.
