As a work-from-home professional who spends a lot of time in my home office, it’s important to find ways to comfortably lounge and unwind when the workday is over. It also helps to have a comfortable corner sanctuary if I need a change from my regular office chair. The perfect solution is my Xorbee foam chair that comforts me like a gigantic, warm hug.

Outside of my typical meetings and daily huddles that occur every morning for work, I like to spend some time catching up on emails, developing product, and managing projects from the comfort of my Xorbee. If there’s one thing I’ve learned since working from home, it’s that it is so important to find a comfortable place to be productive.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me reading, talking to my family in Michigan, or practicing new tunes on my mandolin. Lucky for me, all of these can be done from the comfort of my Xorbee chair. I even roll the Xorbee down my hallway and into my living room when I’m planning a movie night or a Netflix binge.

My pool blue Xorbee is in the X-Dormer size, which is 4 feet and perfect for sliding into the corner of a room. It was made to be a smaller, more compact version of the Xtreem foam filled chair that fits 2+ people. It’s the perfect size for college students living in dorms or smaller apartments that need a comfortable spot for studying and lounging with friends. The X-Dormer size is currently $40 off for a very limited time, so check them out!

I can’t believe it’s August already. I feel like everyone around me is talking about summer coming to a close or back-to-school stuff. Daylight is fleeting and it’s hard to say goodbye. I usually feel extra nostalgic around this time of year and get caught somewhere between wanting autumn weather and holding on tightly to summer and not ready to say goodbye to the extended daylight. Being in Nashville, I still have a hard time with how early the sun sets. Even in the summer, the latest sunset we get is at 8pm. Where I’m from, Michigan sunsets are around 10pm and set right over Lake Michigan and it’s so beautiful. I wish we had a little bit more daylight here. I’m not ready to say goodbye to longer days.

I’m going to do what I can to enjoy all of August and September to the fullest. A trip to Rock Island, more ice cream dates, and maybe a camping weekend can be squeezed in there. It’ll also be nice to go on more bike rides around Shelby Park once it’s not 100 degrees and humid out.

What are some summer bucket list items you want to cross off before autumn creeps in?

I was recently invited to come out to taste and preview the upcoming cold brew that will be released at Dunkin’ Donuts as of August 1st. It was held at the location on Elliston Place in Midtown on Thursday evening. As you can imagine, when I received an email asking if I’d like to come out with a P.S. that asked “What’s your favorite kind of donut?” it was a no-brainer. They were speaking directly to my heart and my stomach.

The cold brew at Dunkin’ Donuts is delicious. The difference between a regular iced coffee and a cold brew is that a cold brew is made over a gradual process, steeped in cold water (kind of like sun tea), in a process which results in a richer and stronger taste. It’s perfect for hot days in Middle Tennessee.

I was spoiled with an adorable gift basket filled with all kinds of goodies: a travel cup, a coffee mug, Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, gift cards, and a t-shirt. They also gave us their brand new key lime square donuts. Ohmygosh, yum.

Being a part of the Nashville Food Bloggers network has been such a positive connection to the entire Nashville community. It’s great to be able to attend events like this and to meet like-minded people. I’m happy to be a part of it. If you’re a fellow blogger in a different city, I’d highly recommend joining a blogging network where you can interact with and meet up with others in your city.

On hot summer days like this in the south, I recommend stopping by Dunkin’ Donuts to grab a cold brew. They’ll be available starting Monday, August 1st. Enjoy
