It’s funny, although I’m not a romantic person whatsoever, I love the theme that is associated with February. Pinks, reds, florals, candies, wines, and all things pretty. I had an incredible weekend that involved all of those things with some wonderful lady friends It was probably the girliest weekend I had in a while.
On Saturday, I attended a #NashGalentines blogger brunch with local style bloggers hosted by Alex of Abundantly Alex and Olivia of Olivia Shea Style. I got to catch up with my friend Greta of Greta Hollar and meet TONS of new badass blogger babes. It was so nice to be in a room full of inspiring young women. We had cocktails, mini bundt cakes, and took photobooth photos while talking about the blogging community in Nashville and about how great it is to see women supporting each other.
On Sunday, I had another lady brunch with some of my best girlfriends at Carli and Julie’s house, where I usually get to be the token American girl. They served grapefruit mimosas, heart shaped fruit, and red velvet waffles with ALL of the toppings. I’m pretty sure I cancelled out my last three weeks at the gym in one sitting. Oh well, it was glorious. It’s so good to be in the presence of friends who can have meaningful conversations about hardships, joy, pain, and life in general. I’m lucky to have celebrated the weekend with so many beautiful gals.
I’m on a bell sleeves kick lately. I want anything and everything with a wide, dramatic sleeve. I don’t know if it’s because it makes me feel witchy and fabulous or if it’s because it makes the rest of my bulky upper arms appear thinner, but I love them. This is probably the most feminine top in my entire closet, too.
