I’ve been off the grid a little bit lately, but that’s mainly because Steve and I have been keeping some big news under the radar until we knew we could finally unleash the news to the world.
We bought a house! We’re officially homeowners. As of 12pm today, we closed on our very first home and have the keys to our new place in Madison (just north of where we currently are in East Nashville). We couldn’t be more in love with the house and we’re so excited to get settled in. It’s been a crazy journey since we started looking for the perfect place a few months ago, but we’re so relieved to have everything complete. We’re packing up and heading out to the country! (kind of). The house is on 1 acre just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city, so it’s definitely new territory for me.
It was a pleasure working with Cathy of Halo Real Estate and Pam of Pinnacle Financial Partners. All of our friends warned us on the stresses that come with buying your first home, but Steve and I both agreed earlier this week that the experience has gone surprisingly well for us and everything was smooth sailing (aside from some last minute bumps that were quickly resolved). We’re so pleased with how everything turned out.
I’ll spare you all of the detailed photos so that we can save some of those for when we’re more settled in, but I’ll give a sneak peek of the house for now. So, without further adieu, here she is:
Okay, that’s all you get for now. 🙂 Nashville, we’re sticking around for a while.
Stay tuned for more posts on home progress! I’m looking forward to having my own land for starting a garden, too. I’m green-thumb ready.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
