Last week I attended the 16th annual Taste of Nashville hosted by the Phoenix Club of Nashville at Rocketown. The celebration includes several of Nashville’s finest restaurants, bars, brewers, distillers, dessert-makers, and more. I brought my cousin and photographer-for-the-evening, Katelyn, and it was so much fun!
The event benefits Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee , Junior Achievement of Middle Tennessee, W.O. Smith Music School, Barefoot Republic Camp and other non-profit partners. 100% of proceeds from the evening went directly to local youth organizations that Phoenix Club supports. Some of the vendors in attendance were Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, Little Donkey, Kitchen Notes, Yazoo Brewing Company, Funk Seoul Brother, Peninsula, The Yellow Porch, and my all-time favorite: Jeff Ruby’s. Every single thing I tasted that evening was delicious. There was also incredible live music during the event, which made the venue all the more lively.
The Phoenix Club’s mission is to significantly impact the direction of local disadvantaged youth by raising funds in a social setting while challenging its members to be community leaders. I felt honored to be part of an event that was for such a great cause here in Nashville.
By the end of the evening, Katelyn and I were utterly stuffed and felt like we needed to be rolled out of the venue. It was 100% worth every bite we took, though. I’m always so grateful for the amazing opportunities I get to be a part of here in town, especially when they help to promote a brighter future for our youth. Already looking forward to next year’s event.
